Approximately one in eight people suffer from a mental health problems worldwide. This can lead to significant disruptions in thought, emotion regulation, and behaviour. There are many effective preventative and treatment alternatives which are easily available to health care professionals for day-to-day practice.

Mental Health Intervention Skills for Professionals

Mental health issues, psychosocial impairments, and other mental states are linked to considerable distress, functional impairment, and risk of self-harm for individuals and families. Conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis and eating disorders present significant challenges to our health care workers and the broader health care system.

Course Offered:
We offer the following course for professionals who do not specialise in mental health but encounter mental health issues in their day-to-day work:

• Mental Health Intervention Skills for Professionals: this course provides participants with knowledge and skills in carrying out screening assessments, offering brief mental health interventions, and making referrals for clients experiencing mental health challenges.
