Motivational Interviewing Skills for Professionals
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative, person-centred approach to elicit and strengthen peoples own motivation for change.

Motivational interviewing offers a brief counselling method that helps clients to explore and resolve the common problem of ambivalence about change. It utilises core brief counselling skills including open questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summaries. These skills are utilised to underpin and support a broad range of change strategies which help clients to change problematic lifestyle and behaviour choices.
